Ribs!!!

Monday evening.
Cold, humid & foggy 2 degrees in Amsterdam.

When you come to Amsterdam, you have to be a carnivore! Yes, steak, lamb chop, pork chop, and ribs here are just too delicious to miss! I had a sumptuos and sinfulicious dinner with my friends the night we arrived in Amsterdam!

Cafe Castell, please make reservation if you are having dinner on weekends, and please try to go early on weekdays, as the crowd will come in around 730pm onwards.

They serve some nice baguette with butter, or the herb & garlic butter.
I love the herb & garlic butter. It goes especially tasty with the rich and creamy lobster bisque!!

My starter - Escargot bake with herb & garlic butter. How can you say no to such delicacy??

Please try not to eat too much bread, else you will not be able to finish this!!!

Nicely marinated and barbeque to perfection; crispy at the sides and the meat are still tender juicy!!
It'll be such a shame to not finish these RIBS!!!! It's finger licking good!!!

Not forgetting the grill to just tender and succulent Lambchop! Yumz...

It's just so delicious that we walloped everything! This is what i called a nice and fulfilling dinner! Guess i have to go on vege and stay away from meat for a few days, too much of a carnivore for tonight!

Bracing the cold to walk back to the hotel. The cold and lonesome sunday streets of Amsterdam, with christmas lights and decoration here and there.

Thank you so much for the great company and wonderful dinner in such a far far away and cold cold land.

I'm leaving for home tomorrow morning, can't wait to get back to the warm, and start my 1 week leave with my family. *bliss*

Amsterdam

Monday afternoon.
Cold, Humid and Foggy 2 degrees in Amsterdam.

Its' really very cold out there when i went for a walk this noon, this winter will be cold and harsh for the dutch. The high humidity in the cold making the whole place foggy with low visibility.

It's so foggy that you feel like you are in some fairylane...

Some Christmas Fair going on at the square, with stalls selling yummilicious Belgium waffles and cheese, and they have made a small skating ring there too... Reminds me that Christmas is not far from now....

Souvenier shop with traditional Dutch Ladies' Clogs... The paint works are so detailed and pretty...

Bumped into this "Smartshop", offering some really "smart" stuffs that can make you feel cloud nine!!! So tempting right?! But the "stuffs" are illegal in singapore, and consuming it will bring you behind bars... so, think twice or thrice!!!!

Went to the flower market to try my luck on some tulips, eventhough i know that November is not tulip season, it's impossible to find tulips there, except for the fake ones. I thought of buying the bulb back and plant it myself, but common sense telling me that it's impossible for them to grow in the hot and humid Singapore. LOL

A small art and craft shops around the flower market with many nice posters and pictures.

The Christmas store with plenty of nice Christmas decoration and ornaments.

I love Dutch cheese very much, bought some nice and fresh Dutch Gouda Cheese in Herb & Garlic flavour, my favourite, and had a picture with the tall and pretty Dutch Lady.

Happy to be back in my warm and cozy hotel room with my loot!!!! - Stroopwaffles & Dutch Cheese.

Gonna spend the rest of my afternoon cozing in my room.

Take care and stay warm in winter.

XOXO,
