The Last Day of 2013

It's 2310 now in Munich, Germany; in another 50minutes, I'll be ushering into the brand 2014, and I can hear fireworks blasting away around the neighborhood of the hotel. It's another new year's eve away from home for me because of my work, I really hope in the near future, I will have the luxury of spending all occasions with my love ones by my side. 

Nonetheless, I get to have a sumptuous New Year's Eve dinner with my lovely colleagues in this far far away land. It's our company's tradition to organize a dinner at the hotels that we are putting up to thank the staffs for the hard work and effort for the whole year. At 7.30pm, we were all seated in the nice Restaurant Zen of Westin hotel; besides us, there are other guests of the hotels as well at the restaurant, and there's a live band singing too. 

At the lift lobby outside my room, my ootd for tonight's dinner. I love this kitty print dress from H&M so much! A cute and smart dress that suits many occasions. 

 

The restaurant nicely decorated and lit with purple lights and fire place. 

Our table is nicely set up with party crackers!

Our dinner tonight is a three course meal. 

The service of the restaurant is excellent and the food is delicious, which made me felt better for being away from home and love ones. Our first course is tuna tataki with seaweed avocado salad, a fushion dish with A hint of Japanese cuisine. 

Follow by our main, the beef steak; the cooking was simply perfect, medium, not too cook and it's still juicy and tender! 

Dessert is the lasagna of white chocolate with fresh berries, the sweet and sour berries balance the sweetness of the white chocolate mousse; the using of chocolate sheets to create layering in the mousse cake was brilliant! 

After the dinner, most of my colleagues went back to rest as we have to wake up early tomorrow to leave for home while some of them are going to Marienplatz to catch the countdown and fireworks. I've choosen the comfort of my bed and rest, over the fireworks and crowds at Marienplatz; I would very much love to join in the fun, if I don't need to wake up early tomorrow.
