Rejuvenate @ Spa Manja

Relax... Rejuvenate... Pamper urself... in the wellness of

SPA MANJA

On my short break back to JB, i've booked a spa appointment for my mum and me. It's been a long time since i last visited a spa, and after a long journey back home from london, and a stressful exam week, i'm longing for some rejuvenation. I've been to Spa manja once, and fall in love with the environment there. It gives you a very soothing and serene ambience, eventhough it is just a very small place. The deco is javanese and balinese style, just like the spa services they provided, are all infused with traditional javanese and balinese herbs. They have a range of services from head to toe, from hair spa, to body massage, body scrub, facial care, nail care, foot care and even waxing, and also packages which includes massage, scrubs, facial, jacuzzi, steam bath and etc. It's conveniently located at the heart of the JB town, just opposite the Mutiara hotel and Holiday Plaza; and their services and spa packages are at affordable prices. Their therapist and massues are from Indonesia, not the domestic workers, but specially trained in traditional javanese massage.

The entrance...

The area for foot refelx...

Take a seat, have a cup of ginger and honey tea before the spa...

Their awards and certificates....

Ginger and honey tea and hot towels after spa...

The herbs they use in their scrubs...

Two-person massage room...

Visit their website and give them a call to make your appointment, and pamper yourself with a whole range of spa services. I was having the milk lulur and totally loving it. It makes your skin look brighter, softer after the scrub and the wrap in milk soak, and the 60 minutes traditional javanese massage relieves my back and shoulder ache, i just feel so refresh and rejuvenated after my 2.5 hours of foot soak, scrub, jacuzzi, steambath and massage. And if you obtain their membership, which is RM288 for 5 years, you will enjoy 15% for yourselves and your fren, and receive a 50% on your birthday month. I m so looking forward for my next visit.

London.... 2nd time in august...

I'm here again in London, one of my favourite and most frequent visit city. I love London, and i usually eat and shop and eat and meet up with Lilian and Jayson and their two cuties, Caitlyn and Cheryl, love them so much, and walk around in the Hyde park. Shopping here is great as usual, loving the salads and sandwiches and wraps here, fresh and yummy. Too much to say for London, and here are the pictures of what i eat and where i went...

One of the nicest pastries around in London.
Strawberry gateau and chocolate mousse cake for tea-time... yum yum
Big and fresh strawberries... lovely
Smooth and rich chocolate mousse cake

The swans and ducks swimming in the lake in Hyde park on a lovely afternoon
Coming near me thinking that i got food... greedy swan
More crowding towards me, wanting to be fed...
Our 11 persons set meal in Gold Mine Restaurant at Bayswater... their roast duck is one of the best!! i was full to the rim after this sumptous lunch.
Trying my new accesories... leopard prints flower hair pin...
My new hairband...

Everything in london is lovely, excep the weather is very variable, on off light drizzles and cold breezes that send chill down ur spine, and sunny afternoon that make you feel like you are in some 28 degrees celcius in singapore. London, am coming again on september, please dont get cold so fast, i still wana enjoy the lovely summer. ;)

My facial bad experience

I've been telling some of my colleagues that, after my visit to this aesthetic clinic - CSK ( i shall not put the full name) , the 2 aesthetic doctors that i have been seeing most of the time, Dr S and Dr G, have help me so much in relieving the skin problems that i have been facing for years, such as my freckles. Most of colleagues who haven't seen me for quite a while, notice the changes and improvement of my freckles, and i have never hesitate to tell them how good Dr. S and Dr. G are and recommend them to CSK.

That's before i went to CSK and my freckled face.. :(

After about 6 treatments... my freckled face is no longer filled with freckles... :)

Special thanks to Dr. S & Dr. G

I found out CSK through internet, and i called in to make an appointment to visit the aesthetic doctor. On my first visit, Dr. S attended to me, she is such a nice lady, and given me a lot of options to improve my situation, and analyssed the downtime that i will face after the treatment and what are the after-care options. I am totally impress by her professionalism and was delighted that i have found cure to my freckles. I've signed up for 6 times of laser treatment with CSK and did the first treatment on the day itself. I have to say that, i really looked like a super fugly after the laser treatment, and the fuglyness lasted not really that long, about 3-5 days, which was already told my Dr. S, expected to be 5-7 days. I was truly satisfied with the result of my freckles after one treatment, most of it were gone, except for a few stubborn ones. and it really worth the 3-5 days downtime for that clear skin that i am looking forward to. I'm so happy with the result and continue going for my treatment promptly once every 4-6 weeks as suggested by the Dr. S. Sometimes, i went in the afternoon, where Dr. S usually will come in in the evening slot, that was when i will see Dr. G, who is also a very nice doctor who seriously dont look like her age and a mother at all. Dr. G is a very thoughtful doctor, who will tell me about problems of my skin which i dont normally notice and given suggestions for prevention or intervention, which is very useful to me. And with result seeing, and nice and caring doctors, i have given my full trust to CSK and begining to sign up with another treatment, aqua-peel, to target my blockage, black and white heads and open pores. But aqua-peel is a treatment done by therapist, unlike the laser treatment which has to be done by a doctor, and this is when i started to get in touch with the therapist and consultants when the doctors have done doing my laser and leave me with the therapist and consultants for the peel.

Just on tuesday, I went to CSK again to do my skin review as well as aqua-peel, and i was thinking of adding some other treatments to firm my skin, to add-on another few more laser treatment to maintain my skin pigmentation problems and upgrade to whitening peel to make my skin look brighter. Yes, i'm a vainpot, i spend a lot of money to make myself look good, thus i will feel good, and which women dont?? and i am just not so lucky to be blessed with radiant, flawless and clear skin, so i'm looking for solutions within my means to make my skin look better. And Dr. G was on duty, she was so happy to see me and give me plenty of suggestions, such as radiofrequency wave to help firm and tone the skin, IPL is another treatment that will help in making my skin more radiant and firm; as for upgrading of peel, she suggested that i do both aqua and whitening peel alternatively to achieve a better result, and add on a cleasing facial to clear the clog pores. So after some calculation and consideration, i have decided to take up another few more laser treatment, radiowavefrequency, aqua and whitening peel and cleansing facial. She written down on my diagnostic card that i should do radiofrequency and laser treatment first, follow by aqua or whitening peel then the cleansing facial, and i am happy with what she's prescribe to me and proceed to the treatment room for my treatment. I'm not doing laser that day because it's still less than 4 weeks from my last treatment, so i should be doing radiowave then aqua peel and cleansing facial.

The therapist came in with a big smile and introduce herself then tell me that she will do aqua-peel follow by radiowavefrequency, and i was like, huh? but Dr. G said do radiowavefrequncy first then peel then cleansing facial right? Then she became defensive and said no, what the aqua peel will bla bla bla and then do radiowavefrequency. I insisted that, Dr. G said the other way round and she has written it down, so she said she will go and check with the consultant C, as Dr. G has already left for the day. Then she came up and said it's aqua-peel then radiowavefrequency then faicla; i said no, that's not what i have seen and heard from Dr. G. She seemed rather pissed and then tell me to hang on, and then get the consultant C to come up. Consultant C said, oh, i have called Dr. G, she said whichever way also can, because i'm not doing laser today, so i can start radiowavefrequency first or aqua-peel first, it doesnt matter, and if i would like to do the radiowavefrequency first, then they will do as i wish. I was like, what the hell? It's not my wish your wish, it's the prescripted procedures by the doctor. I was so sure that is what i saw Dr. G written on the card. So i got pissed, but i remained calm and tell her i insisted on doing the radiowavefrequency first, and she changed another therapist to do the treatments for me.

During the midst of the treatment, consultant C came in and told me that she has already got the installment quotation sort out by her manager, and they have agreed on what i have requested. I was pretty upset by their unethical ways of changing my treatment procedures. i told C, it's ok, i dont want to sign up anymore treatments, just charged as per 1 time price to me for the treatments that i am doing for that day, and i asked her for her manager's name and told C that i will go the main branch sometimes next week to pay a visit to the manager myself. She said ok and then went off, and yelling at the therapist who was attending to me "xiao xin dian hor", which means be more careful, what is this? Totally cant stand, i was mad cross.

I've trusted the doctors, hence giving my trust to the clinic's staffs, thinking that they will have my interest at heart and take good care of my skin. I was so disappointed to know that they do things according to their own convenience, rather than following what have been instructed to do. I shall go to their main branch and request to have my treatment transfer over there, since the main branch is not that far away from my place, and why do i hand my skin, especially my face, to someone who only have the interest of their own.

Pre and Post exam.

Pre-exam:
Got back from london, got damn stress cos i didn't manage to study in london, was so stressed up that nothing goes in. Fortunately, i was able to remember most of what i need to know for the CHP paper just in time for the exam. After seeing the CHP, i was actually quite glad that my hard work got paid off, the questions that i have studied, did come out and i think i do quite well for it. Whereas EALD, it's a disappointement, i actually spent 2 sleepless night and screwed up sleeping pattern days to try to memorize every tips that this Mr. Yam told us. It's kinda complex, was trying to understand so i can recalled better, until i gave up understanding, i memorized it, and it's damn hard to memorize. But, the questions that he told us never come out. I was shocked when i flipped the paper to essay questions page, none of them looked familiar. Die! try to bullshit my way through the questions that i don't know, i only know how to do 1 and only question. Haiz. Sadz.

Post-exam:
Of cos it's celebration, we went east coast park Lagoon hawker centre to celebrate my classmate Sanjay's birthday.
I've only manage to spend a short 1 term with them, as all of them are aredi at their last term, except me and the small boy who are doing our 1st and 2nd term. They are some great classmates and teammates that i have, i really have to thank them so much, for so much help they have offered to breeze me through my 1st term. I think i will be in a state of confusion without them. Heart you all mates, hugz!

Follow by shisha smoking and chilling at Haji lane, didnt bring camera, so no pics. :( but we have so much fun sharing some interesting talks. haha... we called it a day about 1am, cos everyone was so tired after some torturing days of burning last minute midnight oil, and i got to work on saturday, shucks, go straight back to work after exam is no fun at all. BOO... but i have a date with jeslyn on saturday nite! and it's gonna be a fun one!!

We went Powerhouse straight after i back from work on saturday night, cant wait, i need to get some drinks and dance to destress, to make me feel like i'm really over and done with 1 term and the 2 exam papers... LOL. It's really fun, both of us have never been drinking our heart out for such long time, and we were dancing til 5am. haha. when we supposed to go home at 3am, and got work at 5pm on the next day. Though we both woke up with some bad hangover, but we still go to work ok!! see, we so good girls!!

Looking forward to the next fun, dance, tipsy session wif Jeslyn; going onto my 2nd term next week, it's a new cycle again, but, well i have to persevere through no matter how. Jiayou! :)

My movie date wif Jeslyn

It's a very nice show, havent watch such a good one in a long time. A movie that leaves you with a lot to think and wonder. I dont know that an idea could be something so powerful. It's recommended by Jasmine and Flo, and they said it's really a good catch, and indeed it is. Still wondering now, the ending, is he in a dream?
After the movie, we went to East coast park for our craving for a long time Chilli crab at Jumbo.. Yummy!!!

Table full of great food!!

Synthesis

Putting together, the whole made up of parts; to blance from cause to effect; the union of broken edges

When you choose this card, you know that it is time to weed out what is no longer of value to you. Go within to discover what is really important for your wholeness.

Gather information from all directions and bring it together to form your own truth. Answers that may seem ordinary unattainable will come together.

A positive outcome can be expected, especially when combines efforts are working toward the same goal.

The pieces of the puzzle are all there. Now you can put them together in a workable form.

Be precise in your thinking and careful with what you put forward for consideration. Be open and receptive to discussion, but always maintain blalance.

Bringing together fragmented ideas or situations can create a better understanding of yourself.

This can be a very healing card, especially concerning issues of the heart and emotions.

I found some answers that were pretty unexpected. Though most of all, things are generally good for me, but i have to open up myself, to be receptive and to learn to love.

UGG's boots from Sydney

My pair of Ugg's boots from Sydney. I have always wanted a pair of Ugg's but i always think they look kind of too big and bulky on my feet. After some contemplation, i have decided to check the boots out in Sydney, and there you go, i've got one that looks good on my feet and super duper warm and comfy, and good on snow as it has a very good sole.
The sheepskin and wool feels so warm on my feet, my new toy for the coming winter in europe!
Nice~

I have chosen the short one, as i'm on the petite side, the tall boots will make me look so short and my feet look so bulky.
Fashion-showing my new boots.
Loving it~!
Can't wait to wear it out on winter!!!

It's definitely a good investment if you are gonna be in some harsh winter countries. You can put on as many layers as possible on your body, but u cant be wearing so many pairs of socks and leggings, so a good pair of boots, like Ugg's, will definitely let you stay away from cold feet during the winter. Ok, winter, am ready... *wink*
