After much contemplation, we decided to proceed with what has been planned, and here I'm, greetings from Bangkok, sawadee-kah!
It seems like everything is ok, I don't feel any tension or see any gatherings or crowds around tourist area. I believe that it's all fine and under control, still, we constantly update ourselves and seek advice from the hotel in regards of areas to avoid.
We're put up at pratunam area at a small and cozy apartment hotel - Centrepoint Petchburi Hotel. 10980thb for 3 nights through booking.com for this huge room. What a great deal!!!
It's conveniently located opposite Grand Diomond Plaza, along the bustling street of pratunam morning market. We took a cab from the airport to the hotel and cost us around 300thb.

Besides the usual Chinatown fooding and platinum mall shopping, I've been to a new place this time - Asiatique.
It's a warehouse converted shopping mall with 4000 over small shops and restaurants along the Chao Praya river, It's definitely a great place to explore! It feels like chatuchat weekend market selling all sorts of stuffs from clothing, accessories, scents, deco arts, street arts and food, but minus the heat! The ventilation and air conditioning was nicely set up, plus they have proper and clean toilets too!
Asiatique provides different dining experience along the river side, you can choose to have your meals at the reasonably price food court style at warehouse 6 area, or you can have a lavish dinner among one of the fine restaurants facing the river front.
All the warehouse are nicely numbered, so you won't lost your way. It's cooling and breezy and the walk ways are clean and nicely paved.
Asiatique opens from 1600-2300 daily, it's very easy and convenient to go to Asiatique, you can take a cab, from where my hotel is, pratunam area to Asiatique is about 100-180thb depending on traffic; or you can take BTS Silom line towards Wongwian Yai direction and get off at Saphan Taksin station, then walk towards the pier and take a boat there. There's a shuttle boat service from 1600-2300.
We had a nice dinner by the food court area and walk around to explore the place, it's huge!!! Some of the shops I randomly snapped pic.
What else better to do in Bangkok? Food & massage of cos!! I've been doing these for the past 3 days and I'm so enjoying it!!!
It's a great getaway despite all the unforeseen circumstances and we have loaded ourselves with all the good food, pampered ourselves with Thai massage every night and of cos our checked in baggage allowance has been fully utilize!
Til then, see y'all!
XOXO,
