hatyai trip

Every year around this time, end of November, I will take leave to be with my family and to celebrate my beloved daddy's birthday... This year we went to Hatyai again, south of Thailand, just across the border of Malaysia and Thailand. It's a small town to getaway for some cheap massage, nice seafood, delicious tom yum, shopping and praying and visiting the Thai temples.

The standing Buddha that locals believe will bring you wealth and fortune.

The goddess of mercy - kuan yin...

Daddy setting some birds free, Which locals believe it is an act of good deeds...

We got a chance to take some pictures of porcupine and eagle because the owner of a coconut drink stall at the temple, keeps them as pet! How cool is that?!

That's my very brave brother holding the porcupine...

Besides praying, we eat and we shop!!!

Yummy roadside dessert stall...

My favourite mango sticky rice!!!!

Celebrated my daddy's fabulous 54th birthday at one of the local famous Chinese restaurant called toa huat... The got singer to sing birthday song and said birthday wishes to my daddy... So old school and sweet...

Me and my youngest baby sister cam whoring while waiting for food to be served...

We all know that there's a floating market in Bangkok, but there's one in Hatyai too!

And they sell some extraordinary food!!! I dare you to try them!!!

Some gruesome creepy crawlers... Ewws...

Finally... My loots !!!! I din take pictures of the lingerie I bought... Lingerie there are just so much cheaper than Malaysia and Singapore!!!

Happy and satisfied on this eat and shop and eat and shop... I put on some 1kg after the trip... Time to start on my diet!

It's a nice trip, especially when I got to spend time with my family, and have 3 meals with them everyday. That's bliss. Unlike most of you who get to see and eat with your parents everyday, I don't; and I really cherish these moments with them. There's nothing more important and precious to me, than having a nice meal with my whole family together.

I thank god for all these that he has given to me. I truly deeply grateful for it.

Cherish the moments that you have with your family and love ones, cos you will not know when it will be the last.

There's this Chinese saying:
树欲静而风不止,
子欲养而亲不在。

Cherish and treasure while it is still there!
