High anti-oxidant & pro biotics breakfast

Good Morning !~
( from GMT 0 London )

What would you like for breakfast? Some hot English muffins with egg benedict? Some Nasi Lemak with plenty of sambal and fry egg? Or just a simple on-the-go chocolate muffin with a cuppa?

It's been a cold and wet morning in London, it feels more or less like 10 degrees celcius out there. I'm all warm and cozy curling under the warm duvet in my room with my hot water bag in my arms, and my Jerry bear next to me. I'm just too lazy to get dress to go out for a nice and warm cuppa & breakfast, hence i have whipped up my own breakfast in my room.

High anti oxidant, pro biotic and vitamin C.
Greek Style Honey yougurt, BlueBerries, Blackberries & Berocca Vitamin C efferverscent tablet.

Loads of Blueberries & Blackberries...

The berries are so fresh and sweet; and not forgeting my daily fix of Vitamin C, to boost up my immune system.

"It's well known that berries are high anti oxidant fruit, especially blueberry.  It is the anthocyanins, a family of antioxidant pigments, that makes blueberry blue in colour. Anthocyanin pigments color many other dark red, blue, and purple plant foods. But blueberries are a superior source of anthocyanins! The deep, rich color of blueberries demonstrates an intense concentration of anthocyanins. Blueberries also contain a variety of these pigments, up to 30 different anthocyanins.

Anthocyanins combat oxidation, the wear and tear on our tissues. Oxidant are produced by normal metabolism, by aging, and by toxins from the environment. Oxidants damage tissues; "antioxidants" prevent and sometimes reverse tissue damage. Due to concentrated anthocyanins, blueberries, along with bilberries and blackberries, are near the top of the range in the antioxidant potency of common fruits and vegetables. "

Blueberries are also known for Brain food! Can you believe it??

"One of the astonishing facts about blueberries is that they benefit the brain.

The anthocyanins of blueberries are believed to be anti-inflammatory in the body, gut, and brain. Researchers believe the anthocyanins pass through the blood-brain barrier and concentrate in critical areas of the brain.

Animal studies show that blueberry consumption slows and even reverses brain aging and improves memory, learning, and motor function. Experiments with rats and mice are exploring possible use of blueberries in Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. "

I'm so happy that my breakfast brought me so much goodness. So, stock up your fridge with plenty of blueberries, they may look ugly or weird in blue color, but the nutritional facts of it is definitely worth for you to swallow that ugly little fruit.

It is said that, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. No matter how busy or run out of time you may be, grab a handful of blueberries, a bar of muesli or cereal, and your favourite cuppa and run. That should be give you an appropriate amount of anti oxidant, fibre, vitamin c, and most importantly, your caffein fix in the morning.

Wealth is nothing without good health.

Take care peeps.

xoxo,
